Blog or web log is a popular term today. Blogs are websites with a regular update. The objective of blogging vary from person to person. Some writes blog to record their day to day activities just as a dairy. Some people use it for reaction, some use their web popularity on their blog to earn money. Many peoples are making living with blog. It is true that if you have web popularity you can earn money from your web site. But to be a successful blogger you need to write quality content. You need back links, enough keywords to draw the attention of the search engine. So you need to optimize your site. This kind of optimization is known as Search Engine Optimization or SEO.
