A blog needs visitors, unless it will be a dead blog. A blogger can get some traffic from social community sites and social bookmarking sites. Community like facebook, hi5, perfspot etc can be used to get some traffic. A blogger can send his/her friends a message with the link of his/her blog. Some of the friends must visit the blog. You can get involved in many groups and make some post with the link to your blog. That will also bring some traffic, free traffic. Social bookmarking sites are a great source of traffic if you are a good writer. Put your posts in the social bookmarking sites like digg, del.icio.us, stumble upon etc. Put an attractive heading or title of your post to attract the visitors. You will get some traffic if you can attract some visitors. Quality of your post will decide how many visitors will visit your site.
